What is hydroponics?

Simply put, hydroponics is a farming method of growing plants without soil.

What is the Greenery S?

The Greenery is a smart hydroponic controlled-environment container farm where the plants grow vertically in panels.

What medium is used to grow the produce in?

We use peat moss as a growing medium for our seeds. 

​

What nutrients are used?

The water is mixed with nutrient-rich solutions–full of the minerals that are found in healthy soil (nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, etc.)

Are pesticides or herbicides used in the growing process?

In short, no. We don't use any "cides"  in our growing process.

 

What takes the place of natural sun inside the farm?

The farm utilizes custom LED red and blue lights. Each color has a special purpose: Blue light stimulates stem growth, while red light helps the plant grow dense and healthy leaves.

Can you grow in any climate?

The farm operates in temperatures ranging from -40ºF to 130ºF.

Is hydroponic farming sustainable?

Hydroponic plant cultivation is widely considered more sustainable than regular farming as it uses around 90% less water. Secondly, hydroponic farming yields more vegetables and herbs in a shorter time. Thirdly, its carbon footprint is minimal as the greens are grown locally.


What is the difference between hydroponic vs organic?

The primary difference between hydroponic and organic is the method with which your crops are grown.
